Network formation for reconstructing the paradigm of African Area Studies in a globalizing world

The CAAS and ASAFAS at Kyoto University have strived to nurture scholars in area studies who employ fieldwork as their primary method for education and research,
and who are equipped with African “local knowledge” as well as cross disciplinary knowledge.

Our project was successfully completed at the end of March 2018.
Thank you for your cooperation.
For the details of our project, please see the final report and DVD.
